NestBudget privacy policy · Effective October 8, 2026

NestBudget is operated by Kap Tung. This policy covers the NestBudget mobile apps and the service at nestbudget.kapservicellc.com.

Information you choose to provide

When you create an online account, we store your name, email address, a password hash, account identifier, and household membership and permissions. We store the income, expenses, category budgets, bills, savings goals, contributions, transaction notes, and household details you enter in your online budget. The website also supports household invitations and bill-company connection requests; those features can include an invited email address, company name, and country.

On-device personal budgets and sample demo records are stored locally. They are not automatically uploaded to your online account. If you export a backup, your operating system lets you choose where to share or save it. Backup files are not encrypted by NestBudget.

How we use information

We use account and budget information to authenticate you, save and display your budget, enforce household permissions, and provide the features you request. Session tokens support sign-in; security and rate-limit records help prevent abuse. Information you send to support is used to respond to your request.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts the online service and database and processes network information such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the service. Infrastructure logs can include request and error information. In versions with automatic update support, Expo delivers app software updates and processes network and update-request information to provide that service. If you subscribe to Family Plus, Apple processes your payment; we never receive your payment card details. RevenueCat receives your NestBudget account identifier and App Store purchase records so we can confirm your subscription, and we store its status and expiry date with your account. If you request a password reset, Resend delivers the reset email to your account address. Bill reminders are scheduled by your device’s notification system and are not sent to us. Household members can access shared budget records according to their permissions. If you share a backup, the destination you select receives its contents.

NestBudget does not sell personal information, display advertising, or use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking. This release does not connect to your bank or bill-company accounts and does not transfer money. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Storage and security

Online connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored as hashes, and native sign-in tokens use the device's secure storage. Local budget records and exported backup files are not an encrypted financial vault. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and your exported files.

Retention and your choices

Online account and budget records are kept while you use your account. You can edit your records and permanently delete your account from the mobile Account screen or the website's account settings. An owner must remove other household members before deleting the household. Deleting the owner's account removes its household budget, invitations, and household audit records from the active database. Shared household records may remain accessible to other members when a non-owner leaves or deletes an account.

Signing out removes the app's saved sign-in token, but does not delete the account. Local personal/demo budgets and backups are separate from your online account; deleting an online account does not delete files you previously exported. Device backups and infrastructure logs are managed separately by their providers. For access, correction, or deletion requests not covered by the app, contact us. We may need to verify your identity.

Children and policy changes

NestBudget is a general budgeting tool and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. If our data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date.
